Wing K. Lee is Chief Executive Officer of YTL  Communications Sdn Bhd, the communications arm of YTL Corporation Berhad, Malaysia’s  leading conglomerate with international and local investments in Power,  Utilities, Property, Leisure, Hotel, Transportation, Cement, and Technology.

In this role, he combines his expertise in innovative  product development with a deep understanding of communications and consumer  technologies in order to create new products and services that improve the way  people in Malaysia  learn, work and play. In addition, he oversees the deployment of the first-ever  nationwide 4G-service to enrich Malaysian’s lives with a high-fidelity Internet  experience.

A pioneer in wireless technologies, prior to joining YTL  in 2009 Mr. Lee led next-generation mobile Internet device development at  Clearwire. Earlier, he spent 15 years at Sprint Nextel, where he held senior  management positions leading product development for the Company’s WiMAX  division, founded Sprint’s Innovation Lab, and drove Enterprise Architecture  for the launch of the first nationwide wireless data network in the U.S. For his  distinguished accomplishments, Mr. Lee received two of the Company’s top honors  – the Leadership Excellence Award (2005) and the Technology Leadership Award  (2001). Mr. Lee also holds nine U.S. Patents and was recognized as the Asian  American Engineer of the Year during the 2002 U.S. National Engineers Week.

A graduate  of the University   of Texas at Austin, Mr.  Lee also holds an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT’s  Sloan School of Management.
